Please use the contact form to identify potential mowing areas along the Wixom Lake bottomlands. Keep in mind that priority will be given to areas containing primarily woody vegetation. Cattails and other herbaceous (non-woody) vegetation do not need to be mowed in most cases as they will die back and break down naturally once the lake is re-filled. Also, keep in mind that areas immediately adjacent to the Tittabawassee River have been identified as potential fish habitat and are not scheduled to be mowed. The Wixom Lake Improvement Board appreciates your efforts in helping identify areas needing mowing to have the bottomlands ready for re-filling.
